I regret some of my posts about Donald Trump- Elon Musk
Billionaire Elon Musk has said he regrets some of the posts he made about US President Donald Trump during their public spat on social media.
“I regret some of my posts about President Donald Trump last week. They went too far,” Musk stated on his platform X.
The two had a falling-out after the Tesla CEO called Trump’s tax bill a “disgusting abomination”.
His comments came after Trump declared their relationship over and expressed no desire to reconcile with Musk.
The bill, which features significant tax breaks and increased defence spending, passed in the House of Representatives last month and is currently under Senate review.
Musk urged Americans to contact their representatives in Washington to “kill the bill”, warning it could “cause a recession in the second half of the year”.
The tech mogul also claimed, without evidence, that Trump is named in unreleased government files tied to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The White House dismissed the allegations.
In response, Trump said Musk had “lost his mind” and threatened to cancel his government contracts, valued at $38 billion (£28 billion). A large portion of that goes to Musk’s space firm, SpaceX.
