HAWKERS REJECT SAKAJA’S ORDER ALONG NAIROBI CBD.

Hawkers have rejected Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja order that that restricted them to operate along all lanes connecting to Moi Avenue in the Nairobi Central Business District.

The hawkers asserting that the county boss did not consult all the street traders before making the decisions as this brought confusions during yesterday morning as he allowed the trade from 4pm-10pm in downtown Nairobi.

Sakaja had propose that the affected hawkers will be given priority to operate along the back lanes where they can also operate and make out a living.

Along Moi Avenue in CBD,hawking goes on as usual a day after Governor Sakaja announced its banned as the ban was to affect this specific area.

However,there was a decrease in the number of hawkers within the CBD,as confusion on hawking hours liquored Nairobi County enforcement officers diligently patrolled to ensure compliance but that did not deter the hawkers from going about their businesses.

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja announced new measures to bring order to the city as he wants vendors against taking before 4pm.
