Badilisha Maisha CBO launched, raises Ksh.2.3M in Wundanyi

A new dawn for our youth in Wundanyi. Finally Badilisha Maisha Youth Movement became a fully fledged CBO having launched it today at Wundanyi matatu stage. Over 1000 enthusiastic youths who attended sat and listened keenly as one leader after the other addressed them in a fundraiser function to support agribusiness projects for 16 Badilisha Maisha groups that vary from farming of French beans, Pixie Oranges, bee Keeping, potatoes, Water melons, goat rearing, soap making among others.

Senator Jones Mwaruma who graced the event officially launched the CBO which now has a fully functional secretariat. Badilisha Maisha youth groups got an opportunity to share their inspiring success Stories.

I am grateful to all the guests and leaders who honoured my invitation to join us in today’s event where we raised Ksh 2,364,050 with Hon Haika pledging Ksh 500,000 from NGAAF and her personal contribution of ksh 100,000, Senator Jones Mwaruma gave Ksh 100,000, Hon Andrew Mwadime Ksh 20,000, while I gave my personal contribution of ksh 200,000 with my colleagues Hon Ruth Mwaniki MP Kigumo ksh 50,000, Hon Gichuki Mugambi MP Othaya ksh 50,000, Hon Peter Mwathi MP Limuru Ksh 30,000, Hon Robert Mbui MP Kathiani Ksh 50,000, Hon James Koyoo MP Muhoroni ksh 10,000, Hon Samuel Moroto Ksh 10,000, Hon Joshua Mwalyo MP Masinga Ksh 20,000, Former Governor John Mruttu Ksh 10,000, Hon Joyce Lay Ksh 15,000, Hon Dan Mwazo Ksh 20,000, Governor aspirants Mrs Patience Nyange Ksh 20,000, Mr George Mwandembo Ksh 30,000, Mr Stephen Mwakesi Ksh 20,000, Mrs Esther Ikiara Proprietor Nyali Health Care Ksh 20,000. Others who contributed included Hon Stephen Mcharo MCA Wundanyi Mbale ward, Hon Jason Tuja MCA Werugha Ward, Hon Jackson Mwagharo Nominated MCA, Hon Lilian Kidali Nominated MCA, the Business Community and the public at large.
