World champion Hellen Obiri emerges victorious in the women’s 10,000m final after clocking 31:49.88.

Multiple World Athletics (WA) champion in 5000m Hellen Obiri emerged the winner in women’s 10,000m with Sheila Chepkirui coming second in the Athletics Kenya (AK) WA and Commonwealth Games trials ongoing at Kasarani.

The double Olympic silver medalist clocked a time of 31:49.88 as Chepkirui finished second at a time of 31:50:13 while Margaret Chelimo crossed the line third in 31:50:22.

The events trials was conducted Athletics Kenya to select a team that will represent Kenya in the Commonwealth games scheduled for 28^th Juy to 8^th August I Birmingham .
