Uhuru Kenyatta Arrive In DRC For Swearing In Of HE Felix Tshisekedi

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived in Congo for the inauguration ceremony of the president-elect Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo.

H.E. Tshisekedi garnered more than 70 percent of the total vote cast during the general elections that were held in December 2023 to comfortably secure his re-election for a second term. The former President and Facilitator of the EAC- led Nairobi Peace Process was accompanied by Uganda’s Vice President Jessica Alupo.

Tshisekedi’s swearing-in has been scheduled to take place on Saturday 20, 2024 at the Martyrs Stadium in Kinshasa.
