Taita Taveta Governments Release Ksh.23M To Pay Outstanding Dues

At least 700 former long outstanding casuals whose services were terminated on 31st December, 2019 by the previous administration are set to receive their long awaited compensation after the County Government of Taita Taveta on 12th October, 2022 released their dues of approximately Ksh. 23M to facilitate their Severance Pay as per year of services rendered in accordance with the Employment Act.

While on his campaign trail, H.E Governor Andrew Mwadime promised to ensure justice is served to everyone, including but not limited to long term casuals whose services were cut short and their dues have been pending for long.

Among those set to benefit include employees who served both in the defunct Local Authorities and the County Government as casuals on periods ranging from 1 to 18years upto 31st Dec 2019.
