Suspected child serial killer escapes from city police cells

Suspected child serial killer Masten Wanjala has escaped from Jogoo Road Police Station in unclear circumstances.

Authorities said he was expected in court for a mention of some of his probe cases when the incident happened.

Officials who were on duty said they realized Wanjala is missing at 7 am as they were conducting a roll call.

Senior police officers visited the station in an effort to understand what happened

Wanjala was arrested a few months ago in connection with the murder of 13 minors from different counties including Nairobi and Bungoma. He was expected to appear on court today
