Azimio party leader Raila Odinga has called for the removal of President William Ruto from power to lower the high cost of living in Kenya.

While speaking in Nairobi today Odinga blamed the current regime for the country’s economic woes and accused them of massive looting of public resources.

“The high cost of living in Kenya is a result of massive looting of public resources and heartless withdrawal of subsidies to food, fuel and education by the Kenya Kwanza regime. To lower the cost of living and to restore the dignity of our people, Ruto must go” Raila claimed.

According to Odinga, the high cost of living in Kenya is a result of the heartless withdrawal of subsidies to food, fuel, and education by the Kenya Kwanza regime. He further noted that the removal of subsidies has led to a sharp increase in the prices of essential commodities, leaving many Kenyans unable to afford basic needs.

Odinga emphasized that it was time for a change in leadership to restore the dignity of Kenyans and lower the cost of living.

The call for Ruto’s removal comes at a time when the Kenyan economy is struggling, with high inflation and rising prices of basic commodities. Many Kenyans are finding it hard to make ends meet, and the government’s efforts to ease the burden on citizens have been criticized as inadequate.

Raila Odinga’s call for Ruto’s removal from office comes after the end of the 14-day ultimatum the Azimio party leader had given the Kenya Kwanza government to mend the economy or else Kenyans will protest at State House. Raila claims the government’s withdrawal of subsidies to essential commodities has left many Kenyans struggling to put food on the table.
