Malombe praised after Kitui scoops top honours at Devolution conference
Kitui county assembly speaker Kevin Katisya has led the county in praising Governor Julius Malombe for making Kitui shine at the just concluded devolution conference in Eldoret, Uasin Gichu county.
On Friday the county’s exhibition booth was recognised as the first runner-up after Kiambu county out of a total of 223 exhibition stands.
“Governor, we are proud of you and our achievement. This has taken Kitui to another level,” Katisya said.
“On behalf of the county assembly I want to congratulate the county government of Kitui.”
Kitui also added another feather to its cap by emerging top in revenue collection among the 47 counties.
The county attained 84 per cent of its revenue collection target followed by Kirinyaga(80 per cent) and Vihiga at 77 per cent.
Katisya was addressing Kitui MCAs, CECs, county and external exhibitors and county staff all led by Malombe and his Deputy Augustine Kanani at the conference on Friday.
