The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) officers on Wednesday intercepted a truck transporting illicit liquor worth Kes 3.25 million in Loitoktok, Kajiado county.

In a statement, KRA said the vehicle coming from Kimana Town was nabbed with drinks branded Everest Vodka..

“The truck has since been detained as investigations continue to authenticate the excise stamps which are suspected to be fake,” KRA said.

The incident comes even as the Authority has raised concerns over rising cases of illicit brew business in the region.
