I’m Worth Sh450 Million, Interior PS Nominee Raymond Omollo Says
Principal Secretary nominee for Interior Ministry Raymond Omollo has told the National Assembly’s Administration and Internal Affairs Committee that he is worth Sh450 million.
Omollo, who appeared before the committee on Monday for vetting, said his fortune comprises pieces of land and property in Kajiado, Machakos, Nairobi, Kisumu and Homa Bay counties.
In addition, he holds shares in a number of companies, invested in stocks and the money market and practices farming as well as mining.
If approved, Omollo will take over from Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho and will be working under Prof. Kindiki Kithure, who is the Cabinet Secretary for Interior.
Omollo, who currently serves as the Managing Director of the Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA), boasts of vast experience working in the non-profit Research and Development organization management industry.
He is skilled in data management, statistical data analysis, epidemiology, and statistical modeling. He has a PhD in Applied Statistics.
