Faith Kipyegon sets new 1500m world record with a jaw-dropping 3:49.11 in Florence, smashing the previous mark (3:50.07) held by Genzebe Dibaba since 2015.

With a new personal best of 3:49:11 Faith Chepng’etich Kipyegon becomes the first woman to ever run, the 1500m race under 3 mins and 50 seconds. In fact her time is faster than the 2016 Rio Olympics men’s 1500m winning time.
