David Mugonyi Appointed as Communications Authority of Kenya Director General
ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo has appointed David Mugonyi as the new Communications Authority of Kenya Director General.
David Mugonyi, who served as the Head of the Presidential Communication Service (PCS), was on Wednesday, December 20 appointed by Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo as the new Director-General of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA), replacing Ezra Chiloba.
In a notice dated Wednesday, the CS indicated that Mugonyi will take over as the regulator’s boss following the suspension of Ezra Chiloba in October.
Before his appointment, Mugonyi was serving as the Communication Secretary at the State House.
The Communications Authority plays a pivotal role in overseeing and regulating the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors in Kenya.
