Bill Gates in Kenya, to hold series of public engagements
Microsoft founder and American billionaire Bill Gates has arrived in Kenya.
The billionaire is in Kenya for a number of public engagements and is scheduled to meet with important government and business leaders.
Gates will meet with Makueni County Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior today (Tuesday) on his visit to the county.
He will also visit medical professionals nationwide in the maternity wards and primary health clinics. He is also anticipated to visit KEMRI.
He will also be visiting smallholder farmers outside of Nairobi to learn about their difficulties at the same time.
Nairobi post is aware that he’ll be meeting with farmers in Kathonzweni, Makeuni, to find out how they’re battling climate change and using irrigation to grow their crops.
Later this week, he will address students at the University of Nairobi. The conversation will reportedly take place on Thursday and focus on climate change innovation and food security in Africa.
The American entrepreneur established the Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation to support all individuals in leading active, healthy lives.
The foundation aims to improve people’s health and provide them the chance to escape from extreme poverty and hunger.
