Late Raila Odinga Sister Beryl Achieng Dies
Late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s sister, Beryl Achieng, is dead.
The announcement was made by Raila’s other sister, Ruth Odinga, who disclosed that Beryl died on Tuesday, November 25. She, however, did not disclose the cause of death
Beryl had been sick for a long time and had been in and out of the hospital.
The former Prime Minister’s little-known sister had largely kept a low profile despite growing up in a family with a strong political orientation.
Despite maintaining a low profile, Beryl was an educationist; she was a professional teacher who doubled up as a lawyer. She is the only member of the wider Odinga family who attended school in Kenya.
