Chido Obi Man U youngest ever starter in premier league

Chido Obi made history on Sunday as Manchester United’s youngest-ever starter in a Premier League match — a proud milestone in his rapid rise through the academy ranks.

With 12 goals in 10 games across the U18 Premier League and FA Youth Cup, his senior debut was well earned. But it also exposed the gap between youth dominance and senior-level demands.

He had fewer than 10 touches in the first half — a challenge even experienced strikers like Højlund sometimes face — and manager Ruben Amorim admitted,

“Chido fought all game but you can feel he’s really naive sometimes the way he puts his body.”

The talent is there, no doubt — but now begins the real test: adapting, maturing, and leveling up.
