Mucho Mango Kicked Out Of Taveta Youth Empowerment Center.
Mucho Mango Ltd has been kicked out of Taveta Empowerment Center over expiry of lease. According to statement share online by Mucho Mango CEO, Didas Mzirai, He believes Mucho Mango has been Kicked out because of his involvement in politics and has nothing to do with the agreement they had.
Mucho Mangoes is a Social Enterprise that was born out of a passion and desire to eliminate wastage, farmer losses and poverty in the Kenyan mango and banana industry.
His statement on social media reads
“After spending more than 1.3 million to install new solar dryers for the benefit of farmers in Taveta, and just when we were signing a new five years lease, they have decided to kick us out of the Taveta Youth Empowerment Center, through a backdated notice full of false accusations, including an accusation that we refused to sign the new lease. Is it because I have offered myself to run for the Taveta parliamentary seat?If you kick out Mucho Mangoes and bring down the company, is it only Didas Mzirai that is going to be affected or even the employees and the farmers who supply the organization?”
