Waqo Ejersa Appointed New KEMSA CEO

The Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) has announced the appointment of Waqo Ejersa as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Ejersa  who has over 25 years of experience in medical practice and policy development will be taking over from Andrew Mulwa.

The appointee’s career has been marked by significant contributions to healthcare management systems both nationally and internationally. 

He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) from the University of Melbourne. 

He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Strategic Planning from The University of Edinburgh.

In his new role as CEO, Ejersa will be tasked with leveraging his experience to enhance KEMSA’s operations, ensuring the efficient procurement and distribution of medical supplies across Kenya.
