Radio Africa Boss, Agnes Kalekye, Appointed New KBC MD

Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy, Eliud Owalo has appointed Agnes Kalekye Nguna as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).

This appointment will run for a period of three years. Kalekye prior to this appointment was the Chief Operating Officer at The Star Publications and the Chairperson of the Media Owners Association (MOA).

KBC had shortlisted eight candidates for the position of managing director. The Corporation had advertised the role on February 13, 2024.

The official announcement was made by the Cabinet Secretary through the Chairman of the Board of the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation.
