Light moment as DP Gachagua trips, falls before winning exhibition race in Nandi
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Sunday, January 7, suffered a slight fall during a 100-metre race in Tinderet, Nandi County.
The Second in Command came tumbling down about two meters away from the finish line and touched the ground with his security detail scrambling to rescue. Gachagua rose quickly to claim the first position ahead of head of public service Felix Kosgei in an event that was attended by thousands of people.
Gachagua was leading in the Tinderet Barngetuny Mountain Run when he slipped and fell two metres just shy of the finish line.
