Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome has met a high-ranking security delegation from Haiti.

The meeting that was held in Nairobi delved into the plan to deploy the Kenya police to the restive Caribbean country to silence gangs in its capital, Port-au-Prince.

A confident Haiti Police official, Joachim Prohete, said they were counting on the support extended by Nairobi to combat gangs that have run down systems in Port-au-Prince.

“We are counting on your support,” said the Haitian Police official during his meeting with the Inspector General of Police, Japhet Koome, at NPS Headquarters, Nairobi.
