Images from Nyayo stadium, Kibaki final journey

Kenyans on Friday bade farewell to their third president Mwai Kibaki who died last week aged 90.

Military officers were also seen escorting a gun carriage carrying the coffin of late former Kenya’s President Mwai Kibaki.

Uhuru describe Kibaki as an astute leader, distinguished gentleman and a principled and visionary politician who oversaw the country’s economic growth and set the foundation for future growth.

“Kibaki was by all means a model man and did not believe in loud shouting,” Uhuru said at the event held at Nyayo stadium.

Deputy President William Ruto has described Mwai Kibaki as “Kenya’s greatest President” during his (Ruto’s)  in his eulogy at Nyayo Stadium today.
