American Sprinter, Sha’Carri Richardson, the fastest woman alive, gets Dallas ISD track named after her
The track at John Kincaide Stadium in South Dallas is now called the Sha’Carri Richardson Track after a unanimous vote by the Dallas ISD board of trustees last month.
Not only was the track renamed in her honor, but Nov. 10 was also officially named Sha’Carri Richardson day in Dallas.
Track star Sha’Carri Richardson attended a ceremony of naming a track after her.
“I am really speechless. Life is full circle, and this is one of those full-circle moments, being able to stand in the stadium in my hometown, where I basically started my career as a track athlete and my city showed me love and support. I love the city, and I’m excited to continue to inspire my city because Dallas is the best,” Richardson said, as per Dallas News.
The Sha’Carri Richardson Track is located at John Kincaide Stadium in Southern Dallas.
Sha Carri had a great season 2023.
Richardson hopes to once again compete in the Summer Olympics next year in Paris.
