Bahati claims he was offered Ksh50 million to quit Mathare parliamentary race.
Singer Kevin Bahati Kioko says he was offered Ksh 50 million to drop out of the Mathare MP contest in favour of his opponent.
Speaking on Radio Citizen, Bahati said that all his opponents are not residents of Mathare and have been engaging him in talks to step down.
“I was told I will be given a job. But I am not looking for a job, I am earning a living from my music,” he said.
“They have offered me millions, up to Sh50 million. They know that when they get to the office they will regain the money,” he said.
Bahati said he cannot be compromised claiming that is the reason his opponents have devised other ways to bring him down.
He named the incumbent MP Anthony Oluoch, as one of those who approached him for support.
