President-elect William Ruto has reportedly reached out to Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka with the intention of working with him. Sources have disclosed that Ruto has initiated talks with the Wiper party leader though the position he is dangling to him has not been revealed.

Ruto is reported to be using Makueni Governor-elect Mutula Kilonzo Junior and former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko to enter into a deal with Kalonzo. Before Kalonzo joined Azimio, Mutula had advised him to work with Ruto, arguing that he stood better chances of succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta. Kalonzo has been recommended for the National Assembly Speaker post in Azimio.
